Zorbing takes extreme sports to a whole new level! If you love a good time, an adventure, an adrenaline rush, and wild-crazy-fun, you’ll want to give zorbing a try. Rolling around in a Zorb is for the true extreme sports fanatic at heart, and die-hard adrenaline rush junky. This is definitely a once in a life time experience and an activity only for those willing and brave enough to give it a go.
What is Zorbing?
If you’ve had the chance to take a look at a Zorb, then surely you realize they bare an uncanny resemblance to a gigantic human hamster ball.
This is an extreme sport that has been around for 20 years now! A Zorb is a gigantic cushiony ball made of a transparent plastic that thrill seekers enter, strap them-selves into, and away they go. Riders of the Zorb are either pushed or rolled down hills where they then bounce around as they rush and make their descent downhill.
One thing’s for sure, if you decide to give this activity a try, you had better have a strong stomach!
Is Zorbing safe?
You may worry about the Zorb popping, but the Zorb is highly-durable. There is literally one ball inside of another ball with a layer of air in between each ball. The layer of air between the two balls is what protects the occupants from bumps as the ball heads on downhill, because it acts as a “shock absorber.”
The inner ball is where the occupants will strap in for their adventure when it’s time to get started. You’re strapped into the ball which also protects you as you are tossed around by the Zorb. When performed at safe professional locations, this is a supervised and safe extreme sport.
How do you get inside of the Zorb?
You may have noticed by looking at a picture of a Zorb that there are what appear to be two holes at each end of the Zorb. Those are your tunnel-like entrances and exits. You simply crawl through these tunnels to enter the Zorb, strap in and get ready to be jolted around during your big adventure.
