We all go to University to try and better ourselves, it’s an opportunity to enhance employment opportunity and also to become an expert in an subject that is of great interest to you personally. When we finish a part of us hopes that we waltz straight into the dream job, and the Utopian life will soon follow. That’s the dream at least.

Whilst recent statistics suggest that job prospects for graduates are actually improving, the positive figures do not necessarily reflect the quality of the position that the graduate ends up in. More students will find work, but the ratio of graduates to actual graduate schemes is still showing a big gap, and as a consequence more graduates are forced to take job opportunities that may not require a degree, or undesirable graduate schemes.

With all of that in mind we have done some research based on employment rates and future average earnings of degrees. From the results we have compiled this list of the top 20 useless degrees.

This is just a spot of fun. The reality is that with the right attitude it doesn’t matter what your degree subject is, it’s about how you apply yourself when you step out into the working world. But still, share this with any of your friends that do these courses, there is nothing like a little wind up!
