When a police officer stops a car for exceeding the speed limit it becomes apparent that something’s not quite right. The little girl is trying to tell him something.
This is the plot behind the short film “Drama Queen” directed by Rogier Hesp. It lasts under a minute but it won the Young Directors Award at Cannes in 2010 and several other prizes including the Gold & two Silver at the Cannes Lions and the Gold Eurobest 2010. Rogier says that he’s in every story “always looking for the edge, an edge that provokes but ends in a smile.”
