You may recently have received an email informing you of updates to Facebook’s terms and conditions. As a consequence, this hoax status seems to be making a comeback.

The second bullet in Facebook’s Terms will tell you “You own all of the content and information you post on Facebook, and you can control how it is shared through your privacy and application settings.”

The hoax doesn’t even have its facts right. There’s is no such thing as the Berner Convention. (Whoever originated it probably meant to write the Berne convention, which is an international agreement protecting literary and artistic works).

It is a good idea to use this as an opportunity to check your privacy settings, and make any adjustments you deem necessary.
