A fourth Band Aid recording of Do They Know It’s Christmas has been announced by Sir Bob Geldof.

For the 30th anniversary of Band Aid, Geldof and Ultravox’s Midge Ure are bringing together a wide range of modern artists for the latest version to be released on November 17.

The single will be £4, but you can download it for 99p. It will also be available on Spotify in 2015.

Among the artists confirmed so far are One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Chris Martin, Olly Murs, Sam Smith, Bastille, Elbow, Ellie Goulding and Emelie Sande.

It is hoped that Adele will feature, although apparently it’s not a done deal as yet.

Bob announced that the proceeds will go towards battling Ebola, and the lyrics have been changed to reflect the cause.

He said: ‘This will be a great record. These are great voices, but it’s not about the song.

The world’s biggest stars will be gathering together to record the single this Saturday!

Band Aid 20 featured Jamelia, Ms Dynamite, Rachel Steves and Will Young. Dizzee Rascal rapped on the track.
