Ben Affleck has been banned from playing blackjack at a Las Vegas casino after allegedly being caught counting cards.
The 41-year-old Hollywood star was gambling at a ‘high rollers table’ of the Hard Rock Casino, close to the Las Vegas strip when he was confronted for being ‘too good’. Staff are said to have accused him of the tactic on Tuesday night, which is not seen as illegal but is an offence that regularly results in people being banned from casinos.
Affleck was on holiday in Las Vegas with his wife Jennifer Garner when he was barred from playing the game after ‘moving money with the count’. After winning big several times in a row his movements were being closely monitored by casino officials.
He was warned on 22nd April for “using perfect basic”, an industry term for card counting, but this time it appears he has gone a step too far. The hotel have said Affleck is welcome back any time as a guest, but not around their blackjack tables.
